Cell Biology, Genetics/Genomics, Neurobiology
The Drerup lab uses zebrafish to answer questions about neuronal cell biology. We are currently focused on understanding mitochondrial homeostasis in neurons and the role of transport in both mitochondrial population maintenance and autophagy. We use in vivo live imaging, genetics, and omics approaches to bridge cell and molecular biology with neuronal function and survival.
