Grace Wilkinson is a limnologist and ecosystem ecologist who studies how lakes are responding to environmental change. Her research examines how interactions between lakes and their surrounding landscapes shape water quality, nutrient and greenhouse gas cycling, harmful algal blooms, and ecosystem resilience. Her lab combines long-term observations, comparative surveys, and whole-ecosystem experiments to understand the drivers of lake dynamics and anticipate how freshwater ecosystems will respond to climate change and other disturbances.
